New Orleans Mass Casualty Incident

At least 10 people were killed, and dozens of others were injured, early this morning when a man drove a pickup truck into a crowd of New Year's revelers in New Orleans' French district.

• The FBI has confirmed that the incident is being investigated as an act of terrorism and that the driver of the vehicle is deceased.
• Reports say two police officers were wounded in an exchange of gunfire with the suspect and that multiple suspected improvised explosive devices have been detonated by authorities in the areas surrounding the vehicle incident.
• Investigations into the incident and the suspect are ongoing.
• Increased security is expected for tonight's Sugar Bowl college football playoff game in New Orleans between Notre Dame and Georgia.
