- U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio released a statement saying the United States was not involved in the attacks and warning Iran to not target any U.S. facilities or personnel in any response.
- Israel has declared a state of emergency in anticipation of a missile and drone retaliatory strikes by Tehran.
- Israeli defense officials say their operations against Iran are expected to take multiple days.
- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu characterized the strikes as a "targeted military operation to roll back the Iranian threat to Israel’s very survival."

- Iranian Revolution Guard leader General Hossein Salami and multiple senior leaders of Iran's nuclear program are among those killed in the Israeli attacks.
- A senior Iranian official has said that both Israel and the U.S. will pay a heavy price for the attacks.
- Israel's Mossad spy agency carried out a series of covert sabotage operations inside Iran alongside the initial airstrikes.
